Precautions to prevent COVID19

Since March, the government has announced a state of health emergency in the Analamanga region. Added to this, a decision for the partial lockdown was made to limit the spread of COVID19. These measures were taken following the discovery of the first individuals carrying the virus. For OMNIS, the prevention of the pandemic began well before the announcement of these measures. An awareness campaign was therefore conducted by our Medical Centre before the start of the lockdown. The main points of this campaign include wearing a mask, respecting distancing, washing hands and other precautions as advised by WHO. Besides, each employee was provided with several bottles of hydroalcoholic solutions and washable masks, again according to the standards communicated by the WHO.

During the lockdown period, only services considered essential were allowed to pursue their activities during the morning. As a result, OMNIS is one of the institutions that will close until further notice. To ensure the continuity of ongoing projects teleworking is now done.

With the alleviation of measures following the stability of new cases of Coronavirus in the capital, OMNIS is putting in place a minimum service towards the end of July. To this end, the transport of employees who should join OMNIS premises is taken care of. At the entrance of the three sites, temperature taking, hand washing and shoe disinfection become systematic. For the Medical Centre, teleconsultation is done and medical expenses will be reimbursed by the Office.

So far, OMNIS continues its fight against COVID 19 by implementing these measures. To keep in touch with the staff, messages are regularly sent to all employees via mobile numbers and through social networks. These mainly include reminders of health precautions to avoid the spread of the virus. We also communicate directives and decisions from the executive manager.
