OMNIS activities in the field of oil and gas are carried out by experienced and multidisciplinary technical staff, such as geological engineers, petroleum engineers, production engineers, geophysicists and geologists.
These activities include:
Monitoring of oil operations
Any operations related to oil and gas exploration and exploitation in Madagascar are monitored by OMNIS.
The purpose is to ensure that oil companies operating in Madagascar fulfill all obligations set down in the production sharing contracts signed with OMNIS.
To this end, we organize, among other processes, technical meetings with our partners as well as technical and financial audits.
As regards contracts management, it takes place through management committee meetings as set up in contracts.
Exploration and Production Data Exploitation
Various studies have been carried out in order to assess and develop Madagascar hydrocarbon potential. These works include:
- Geological and geophysical field data acquisition with the aim of acquiring new geological data and 3D seismic speculative surveys;
- Basin modelling based on data analyses and interpretations through mapping, prospect assessments, designs of structuralsections and petroleum systemidentification for each zone…;
- Madagascar sedimentary basinscharacterization;
- Technico-economic analyses through studies and economic modelling of upstream oil projects.
The promotion of free
In order to attract investors to be our partners and to be part of the development of oil and gas industry in Madagascar, OMNIS organize, at suitable time, promotional campaigns to promote Malagasy Sedimentary Basins. potentialities of the blocks à promouvoir à nos éventuels partenaires.
Assistance to oil companies
Following the request of our partners, OMNIS can provide technical assistance to our partner as well as administrative assistance such as assistance in steps and procedures for titles delivery.
The Ilmenite project stemmed from an establishment agreement conclusion. This establishment agreement was concluded between the Malagasy State represented by OMNIS and Titane Inc in 1998 following which the company Qit Madagascar Minerals S.A. (QMM S.A) was founded. The latter owns 80% of the share capital while OMNIS is a 20% shareholder.
