OMNIS, a public administration body, was created in 1976 with missions to implement the national policy on hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation, to develop basic geological data and to act as a mining promotion office. In addition, more than forty years of experience have enabled the Office to acquire technical expertise, which explains its international notoriety. Among its multidisciplinary employees are highly qualified technicians on whom the Office can rely.

Throughout our history, our collective efforts have helped to ensure, throughout our history, the promotion and enhancement of Malagasy oil potential that could be discovered on this website. In order to strengthen our relationship with both our public and private partners, a new strategy was therefore adopted in 2019. This to confirm our positioning as a key player in Madagascar’s economic development.

Focusing on our values which are efficiency, team spirit, professionalism and ethics as well as our objective of becoming the best professionals at the service of Madagascar, OMNIS’ strategy mainly aims, in the medium term, to consolidate our achievements and to create values for our partners and our collaborators.
