Donation to Antananarivo City Hall

OMNIS has demonstrated its solidarity in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic by supporting the government efforts in the management of this health crisis. On the morning of Tuesday 07 April, some OMNIS staff representatives with the Interim General Manager handed over 115 bags of rice to Antananarivo City Hall, one of the places for donations collection indicated by the authorities. “During this difficult period, we would like to take all necessary measures to help the most deprived and the families most affected by this health crisis”, said Mrs Lalanirina RANOROARISOA, the OMNIS Interim General Manager. Testimonies on the lockdown impacts in the newspaper continue to amplify over the last few days. “Since the beginning of the lockdown two weeks ago, the effects of this crisis are already apparent. Many people have run out of food and could not even go out to work. That is the reason why we decided to donate these bags of rice. Rice is an essential part of our daily meals. In total, these bags contain about 5,750 kg of rice,” the DG pi adds.

This donation was received by the Mayor of Antananarivo, Mr Naina ANDRIANTSITOHAINA. The latter congratulated OMNIS for this gesture and its determination to participate in this common struggle after the appeal launched by the government.
